Hardik Pandya Bowls For an Hour During Team India’s Net Session; Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav Bat
New York: It is no secret why all the focus is on India vice-captain Hardik Pandya. Ever since he landed in New York a couple of days back, the talk on social media has centered around him. He finally hit the nets on Thursday and then he bowled continuously for about an hour and then also had a batting session. Given his role, Hardik is certainly going to be key to India’s fortunes at the T20 World Cup 2024. Apart from Hardik, captain Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav batted in the nets trying to get used to the conditions.
Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant had his first net session in India colors after a long time of 16 months. He was also trending on social space for obvious reasons.
India will lock horns against Bangladesh for a warm-up game on June 1 at the newly built Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York, to get familiar with the unknown conditions of pitches in the USA.
