Headaches prove deadly for 25-year-old, doctors find a huge tumour in the brain; know the symptoms
A pregnant woman was diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour after doctors continued to dismiss her headaches for years. The 25-year-old was 26 weeks pregnant when doctors discovered that a tumour was making her suffer from recurrent migraines.
However, it was not until she got pregnant with her second child that the symptoms started to get worse. Apart from extreme headaches, she could barely walk and also felt like her head was on the verge of exploding. Later, when an MRI of her brain was conducted, doctors found that a huge tumour had formed in her head.
Morgan from Dartford was also unable to start treatment till the birth of her daughter in December. After this, she went through brain surgery to get rid of the tumour. Despite that, doctors told her that the tumour was incurable as it was aggressive. She complained of severe headaches for seven to eight years and said that doctors dismissed it by calling it a migraine and nothing to worry about.
During pregnancy, her headaches got even more intense. They would continue for a few days and nothing proved helpful. There was immense pressure in the head and she said that it felt like the same would explode.
There was pain and Margot also couldn’t walk. However, she dismissed it because the same symptoms occurred in her first pregnancy. However since the treatment could not begin before delivery, doctors planned her c-section after 37 weeks and she was then referred for surgery.
