‘Hindu hone ka proof.’: Elvish Yadav issues clarification on hugging Munawar Faruqui

Bigg Boss OTT season 2 winner Elvish Yadav has lately become synonymous with controversies. The 26-year-old social media sensation sparked widespread discussions when a video of him hugging Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui went viral online.

Elvish on Tuesday (March 12, 2024) took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to issue a clarification about the same and said that people were unable to understand the context behind his gesture. ‘This tweet is for those who haven’t watched my last video and still believe that I hugged Munawar. However, it’s clear and I have already mentioned that I teased him about getting him out by poking fun. Still, people do not understand the context behind it,’ he posed.

‘So, I would like to tell those people that I don’t need to prove my Hindu identity. You know very well what I have done to raise the voice of Hindutva. But, if you still don’t understand, then I sincerely feel bad about it. Please don’t get manipulated by someone’s words. Thank you,’ Elvish added. It is to be noted that Elvish and Munawar were seen bonding on March 6, 2024, on the sidelines of an Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) 2024 match at the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane.

Elvish Yadav claims YouTuber threatened to kill him

Earlier this month, a short clip showcasing Elvish allegedly assaulting a YouTuber in a shopping mall created a buzz on the Internet. Elvish later addressed the incident in a YouTube video, claiming that the content creator had allegedly threatened to burn him and his family alive.
