Honda recently announced the recall of two of its top-tier motorcycles. These affected motorcycles include the Gold Wing GL1800 and the CBR1000RR Fireblade.
According to Honda, the recall was issued due to an issue with the fuel pump.
Looking into the details of the issue, the fuel pumps in the Honda Gold Wing GL1800 and the CBR1000RR Fireblade could fail and cause the bikes to stall in motion, this could be very dangerous at high speeds.
This latest recall from Honda is applicable to Gold Wing GL1800 motorcycles produced between December 2017 and December 2023, and CBR1000RR motorcycles manufactured between September 2017 and April 2020.

Faulty Fuel Pump Impellers
According to Honda, the problem lies in the fuel pump impellers, which could have arisen due to an improper mould. This defect in moulding could lead to deformation and fuel pump failure. This resulting failure in the fuel pump will interrupt the fuel supply to the bike, resulting in stalling.
