Hyundai Creta And Verna Recalls Of 7,698 Units Creta And Verna Models; Here’s Why
South Korean automaker Hyundai has recalled the Creta SUV and the Verna sedan in India. A total of 7,698 units of the Creta SUV and Verna Sedan have been recalled for the same issue.
The recall has been issued for units manufactured between February 13, 2023, and June 6, 2023. Hyundai India has stated that owners of the affected vehicles can reach out to their closest Hyundai dealerships and the issue will be fixed without any cost.
The issue has been detected in the 1.5 litre naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine which is paired with the CVT gearbox. This powertrain configuration is offered in both the vehicles, the Creta SUV and the Verna sedan. Customers can access information regarding the recall of Hyundai’s Creta and Verna models on the company’s website using the VIN number. If a vehicle is included in the recall, owners can schedule repairs at the nearest service centre. Additionally, Hyundai is notifying customers about the recall via phone, message, and email. Prior to Hyundai, Kia issued a recall for 4,358 units of the Seltos SUV approximately one month ago, citing the same issue. The affected vehicles were manufactured between February 28, 2023, and July 13, 2023.
