IIT JAM Registration 2025 Underway; Check Exam Schedule, Registration Fee, Admit Card Update
IIT JAM Application Form 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) Delhi has commenced the IIT JAM registration process. Candidates can fill up the IIT Joint Admission Test For Masters(JAM) application form 2025 at till October 11, 2024. The IIT JAM examination will be conducted on February 2 while the admit card is scheduled to be issued on January 6.
JAM 2025 Examination will be conducted as a Computer Based Test in SEVEN Test Papers namely, Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS), and Physics (PH). Candidates who have either completed or will be appearing in the final examination of their qualifying degree in 2025 are eligible to appear in JAM 2025.
By qualifying in JAM 2025, candidates can apply for admission subject to the conditions that (a) all parts of their undergraduate programme shall be completed before the date of admission of the respective Admitting Institute, and (b) proof of having passed the qualifying degree with required eligibility, as specified by the Admitting Institute should be submitted within the timeline provided by respective admitting institute. There are around 3000 seats in postgraduate programmes at 22 IITs for the academic year 2025-26.
JAM 2025 Scores will be used to admit the candidates subject to satisfying the ERs, MEQs and any other necessary requirements, without any additional interview or written test. A candidate can appear in either ONE or TWO Test Paper(s). However, a candidate can appear in two Test Papers only if they are not scheduled in the same session.
JAM 2025 Exam Date: Check Exam Timing
The JAM examination will be held on February 2, 2025, in two shifts. The first shift will commence from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM for papers such as Chemistry (CY), Geology (GG), and Mathematics (MA). The IIT JAM afternoon shift will commence from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM for Biotechnology (BT), Economics (EN), Mathematical Statistics (MS) and Physics (PH).

Regarding the JAM 2025 application fee, female/ SC / ST / PwD candidates must pay Rs 900 for one paper.
Candidates belonging to female/SC/ST/PwD categories must Rs 1250 for two papers.
All other candidates must pay Rs 1800 for one paper and Rs 2500 for two papers.
JAM 2025 Registration: Check the IIT JAM Admit Card Update
An Admit Card bearing the Candidate’s Name, Registration Number, Photograph, Signature and Name(s) and Code(s) of the Test Paper(s) applied, along with the Name and Address of the Test Centre allotted, will be available for download from JOAPS from January 06, 2025 until the Examination Date. Admit Cards will not be sent by post/e-mail. The candidate should carefully examine the Admit Card for all the entries made therein.
