IND vs ENG: Shubman Gill sweats out at Mohali Stadium ahead of final Test – WATCH

At a time when most of the Indian team players are taking some time off from their tiring schedule, flamboyant batter Shubman Gill has chosen to train despite a 10-day break between the fourth and fifth England Test.

India have taken an unassailable lead of 3-1 in the series and will soon be entering a dead rubber against the Three Lions that starts on March 7.

Gill was seen practicing under the guidance of his father at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali as a few pictures of him hitting the nets surfaced online. His fans commended his efforts to train hard for the final Test. Team India members are currently spread out, engaged in their commitments, with some spending quality time with their families and some having already reached Dharamsala ahead of the fifth Test.

A couple of his videos sprinting at the IS Bindra Stadium and honing his batting skills in the nets went viral just days ahead of the last Test match. Shubman entered the five-match Test series on the back of poor form as he didn’t even possess a half-century in his new no. 3 batter role since the West Indies tour in 2023. Shubman didn’t do well in the first innings of the series opener as well.

He bounced back with a gritty century in the next Test played in Vizag and continued his performance with a 91-run knock in the next Test in Rajkot. He could have easily converted it to a hundred but got himself run out in the second innings. He then played an unbeaten 52-run knock in the second innings of the Ranchi Test.

Rohit in Jamnagar, Kuldeep in Dharamsala

Meanwhile, India skipper Rohit Sharma is currently in Jamnagar as a guest in the high-profile pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Several cricketers were invited for the three-day event and the likes of MS Dhoni, Zaheer Khan, Suryakumar Yadav, Rashid Khan and many more are gracing the grand event.

Left-arm chinaman Kuldeep Yadav had shared a few pictures of himself from the beautiful city of Dharamsala enjoying leisure time ahead of the final Test.
