IND vs PAK Hockey Final: India win the Junior Asia Cup title, defeats Pakistan by 5-3 in final
New Delhi: The final match of the Men’s Junior Asia Cup 2024 Hockey was played between the teams of India and Pakistan. The Indian team won this match played in Muscat, Oman and was also successful in defending its title. The performance of the Indian team in this tournament was very strong. It did not lose a single match in the entire tournament. The second team reached here after winning all its matches, but the Indian team defeated Pakistan in this tough match.

India and Pakistan played an attacking game from the beginning of this final match. Pakistan scored a goal in the first few minutes of the match and took a 1-0 lead. After this, in the 19th minute, the Indian team increased its lead to 3-1. Dilraj Singh scored a brilliant field goal. But by the end of the second quarter, Pakistan again made a comeback and converted a penalty corner into a goal just before half time, due to which the match reached 3-2 at half time.
The second half saw a tough fight:
The first goal came from Pakistan in the third quarter of the match. Pakistan once again converted a penalty corner into a goal and tied the match at 3-3. This was also the only goal of this quarter. But in the last quarter, the Indian team scored a goal right in the beginning. Arjit Singh Hundal scored another goal in the match and gave India a 4-3 lead. After this, India scored another goal in the last quarter and increased the lead to 5-3.

The Indian team started the Men’s Junior Asia Cup 2024 by defeating Thailand 11-0. After this, it defeated Japan 3-2 and Chinese Taipei 16-0. It also won 8-1 against Korea. At the same time, in the semi-finals, India defeated Malaysia 3-1 to make it to the finals.
