Indian Oil Corporation To Become The Official Fuel Partner For FIM – Formula One Not Too Far Away
The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has announced they will start manufacturing F1 fuel in the Paradip refinery in Odisha within the next three months using advanced technology currently available at the refinery.
The Chairman of IOC, Shrikant Madhav Vaidya, announced the partnership from 2024 and 2026 between Indian Oil Corporation and Two Wheels Motor Racing as the “official fuel partners” for the Federation Internationale De Motocyclisme (FIM)Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC).
Indian Oil Corporation has developed a race fuel called STORM in their Gujarat refinery. IOC’s launch of STORM racing fuel has reflected positively on the “Make in India” initiative and showcases IOC’s ability to produce international-grade fuel.
Indian Oil will be supplying 2 categories of the ARRC with the race fuel called “STORM-Ultimate Racing Fuel” produced in Gujarat for all rounds of the ARRC between 2024 and 2026.
Shrikant Madhav Vaidya, chairman of IOC also stated, “As we embark on this exhilarating partnership with TWMR for the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship, Indian Oil is proud to fuel the fast lanes of motorsport with our cutting-edge ‘STORM-Ultimate Racing Fuel’.”
STORM-Ultimate Racing Fuel is a primary racing fuel that benefits racing vehicles by keeping engines cleaner, providing corrosion protection, reducing emissions, increasing engine life, better performance and is more environmentally sustainable.
For the Asia Road Racing Championship race events scheduled for the 15th and 17th of March in Thailand, Indian Oil Corporation has shipped containers full of STORM-Ultimate Racing Fuel from the Nhava Sheva port in Mumbai on the 23rd of February.
