India’s Complete Schedule At Paris Paralympics 2024 On September 1: List Of Events, Timings In IST & More
New Delhi: India has won a total of five medals so far in the ongoing Paralympics 2024, and one of them is historic gold through Avani Lekhara. Lekhara became the first Indian woman to win two Paralympic golds as she successfully defended her title in the women’s 10m air rifle standing SH1 shooting. She also created a new world record in her stellar performance.
Besides her, Mona Agarwal grabbed a bronze to make it the first time India recorded a double podium in a single event. Rubina Francis further took home a bronze in shooting, while Manish Narwal brought in another silver, pointing to how great India has been in shooting at the Paralympics 2024.
Whereas, para archer Sheetal Devi began with a world record in the ranking round but had to be content with a silver medal in her event. She also bettered a world record score in the compound mixed team qualification event along with Rakesh Kumar. In athletics, Preethi Pal contributed a bronze medal. India will look forward to adding to their medals with an all-over top performance by the athletes in the races on Sunday, September 1st.
