Ineos Automotive Unveils Fusilier Electric SUV; Check Details

Ineos Automotive has taken the covers of its third vehicle, the all-electric SUV christened Fusilier. With this vehicle, the brand has kept the retro style intact that we saw earlier on the Grenadier.

The new SUV claims to have “world-class off-road capability with zero compromise to the on-road performance”. However, when compared to Grenadier the SUV is comparatively lower and shorter. The brand is also planning on offering a gas-powered version of the SUV.

The Ineos Fusilier’s pure electric form and the range extender (REx) will both be similar in terms of appearance. Furthermore, the SUV offers butch looks with a boxy appearance. This is reminiscent of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. However, even with this design, the automaker has focused on the aerodynamic efficiency of the vehicle by rounding the corners of the vehicle. Underpinned by the skateboard platform the SUV gets a steel top hat and underbody along with aluminum doors and closures.

The brand claims that the Ineos Fusilier in its electric version is targeted to have a range of 400km on a single charge. Additionally, the REx will possess about 70 percent of the EV’s battery capacity, giving approximately 270km of range with the engine off. While Samsung will supply the batteries which will be assembled in Hungary, the specific chemistry for the batteries has not yet been decided by Ineos. The details of the 4×4 powertrain will be released along with other specs including the battery size.
