Royal Challengers Bangalore finally managed to get back to winning ways, snapping their six-game losing streak and beating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 35 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Rajat Patidar shone with the bat as he hit a 20-ball fifty, returning to form while he was also supported by Virat Kohli who played a slow innings of 51 off 43 balls as RCB chased down a target of 207 at home. . Cameron Green also scored 37 off 20 balls while Dinesh Karthik and impact sub, Swapnil Singh contributed with quick cameos of 11 and 12 off six balls.

RCB were on the money a ball and asking SRH to chase seemed to be the ploy to plug up their run-scoring form. Travis Head was dismissed in the first over of Will Jacks. Kolkata Knight Riders have a chance to close the gap and stay second in the table with a win in their next match against Punjab Kings. SRH is steady at third position in the table due to their superior net run-rate compared to LSG. RCB will have to win all their next games with a total of 10 points and some results will go their way meaning they will be able to qualify for the playoffs.
