IPL 2024: Shah Rukh Khan Surprises Sourav Ganguly with a Hug in Viral Video
Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, who co-owns IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders, reunited with legendary Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly at the Eden Gardens on Monday night. Ganguly represented KKR both as captain and player during his career. Ganguly was in the capacity of Director of Cricket at Delhi Capitals at the Eden Gardens as the franchise faced KKR in an IPL 2024 match. After the match, while Ganguly was chatting with KKR all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer, Shah Rukh, who was taking a lap on the field, spotted him before hugging the legendary captain.
The two got engaged in a brief chat and a clip of their reunion is going viral on social media. It was a delightful outing for SRK’s KKR as they dominated the DC Arrows divisions for an impressive seven-wicket win. Electing to bat first, DC made a promising start before a strike that saw them lose three wickets inside four overs.
They fell to 111/8 before the no. 9 Kuldeep Yadav (35*) took them to a respectable 153/9. For the home team, spinner Varun Chakraborty took 3/16 in four overs while Harshit Rana and Vaibhav Arora played the innings with two scalps each. KKR’s chase was powered by a scintillating fifty from opener Phil Salt who scored 68 off 33 balls, which included seven fours and five sixes. Sunil Narine (15) and Rinku Singh, who had been promoted to No.3, fell cheaply but skipper Shreyas Iyer (33*) and Venkatesh (26*) put on an unbeaten 57-run partnership for the fourth wicket as KKR chased down the target in 16.3 overs. had crossed Over

DC captain Rishabh Pant said that they could not put enough runs on the board to protect their bowlers.
“As a batting unit we didn’t bat well, 150 was below par with how things were going. But we learn from our mistakes, not every day is your day. I think anything around 180-210 would have been a good score, we just didn’t give enough runs to our bowlers to defend,” Pant said after the match.
