iQOO Z9 to launch on March 12: Features, tentative India price leaked

March is all set to be a frenetic month for smartphone launches. iQOO is the latest brand to join the party. We’re already seeing leaks and updates emerge about the brand’s upcoming iQOO Z9 that’s likely to land in the Rs 20,000 – Rs 25,000 price band.

At least that’s what one of the leaks from tipster Yogesh Brar on X (formerly Twitter) seems to suggest. iQOO has already started building the hype for this device, calling it a ‘fully loaded’ smartphone. Here’s what we already know about the iQOO Z9 that is all set for a March 12 launch:

1. Processing power: iQOO has pitched this as the first device in the segment to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor that it claims has set benchmarks for speed and performance in the segment. iQOO says that the device has clocked an AnTuTu benchmark score of over 7,30,000.

2. Blur free images: iQOO has positioned this device as the segment’s first 50MP Sony IMX882 camera. It’s notable that this camera boasts of OIS capability for blur free images. The smartphone is also expected to feature a 16MP selfie shooter.

3. Display with 120Hz refresh rate: an immersive display has become a key ingredient for success at this price point. The Z9 is likely to flaunt a 6.6-inch FHD display that it claims is one of the brightest in the segment. This bright AMOLED display features a 120Hz refresh rate and peaks at 1800 nits.

4. Solid battery: the device is likely to feature a 5000 mAh battery under the hood and is all set to be backed by a 44W charger in the box.

5. Slim profile: despite a massive 5000 mAh battery, iQOO has shared that the device will feature a slim design. The Z9 is just 7.83 mm thin and features a unique brushed pattern. The hero colour is expected to be a Brushed Green with a stunning metallic finish.
