Is Yamaha Tenere 700 Coming to India? Everything We Know So Far
Two-wheeler giant Yamaha is making efforts to expand its product line in India. It has been reported that the company will bring its tech-loaded Tanner 700 to the country. The maker has not yet hinted or revealed any official details about it. However, some reports say that the launch of the model is expected to happen sometime in late 2025. To note, these details are based on reports and speculations, concrete information about the upcoming offering is yet to be shared by the brand.
Here’s what the rumors claim
If rumors are to be believed, the company has already started the groundwork for the project. But, the price range is not known yet. However, this vertical may be a bit challenging for the company as most ADV bikes in the premium segment are directly imported from Thailand and get import duty benefits.
The Tenere 700 ADV is expected to be imported from Japan.
Overall design
Talking about the design, it can show the same style statement as the international spec. It may get an aggressive front fascia with a matrix LED headlight setup (similar to the BMW R1300 GS), decent sized transparent visor, slick turn indicators and knuckle guards on the handle. It can come with multi-terrain tyres, complimented by dual disc brakes at both ends. This will allow customers to have better control of the vehicle while pushing the limits off-road.
Engine and Power
At heart, the Yamaha Tenere 700 may use the same 689cc, parallel-twin engine. It will generate a maximum power of 72 BHP and a peak torque of 68 Nm. The unit will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
