Jesko Absolut To Be World’s Fastest Car, Claims Koenigsegg: ‘How Fast? Time Will Tell’
The debate over the fastest car in the world often revolves around the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ and the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut.
As per records, the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ boasts a top speed of 489 km/h and is currently the fastest road legal car globally. However, many automotive enthusiasts argue that the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut is the fastest car in the world and is capable of reaching speeds of up to 531 km/h.
Therefore to settle this debate, the facts of this situation are that Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut was unveiled to the world in March 2020. Recently, the first-ever Jesko Absolut was delivered to its inaugural customer, as stated by Koenigsegg in an Instagram post on 31 January, 2024. In addition to this, Koenigsegg has not yet tested the top speed capabilities of the Jesko Absolut. However, Koenigsegg claims that the Jesko Absolut has the potential to achieve an impressive top speed of 531 km/h. These claims are made on the basis of simulation testing done by the Swedish hypercar manufacturer.
In another recent Instagram post, Koenigsegg stated, “Jesko Absolut – I Feel The Need – The Need For Speed” and then further added, “With a drag coefficient value of only 0.278 Cd in combination with a frontal area of 1.88 m² and a minimum power output of 1600 bhp, the Jesko Absolut is destined to achieve higher, more extraordinary speeds than any Koenigsegg or any other fully homologated car before it. How fast? Time will tell.”
These statements by the manufacturer further fuel the speculations that the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut has the potential of securing the tag of the fastest road legal car in the world, after its top speed has been tested. Moreover, with the delivery of the first-ever Jesko Absolut, it is expected that testing for its top speed will be conducted soon.
