JNUSU Elections 2024: Varsity Issues Code Of Conduct Drawing Guidelines For Poll Campaigning
In the wake of the upcoming JNUSU (Jawaharlal Nehru University Students Union) Elections 2024, the JNU administration has brought in a code of conduct to overlook the pre-election campaigning.
As per the varsity’s code of conduct, the use of posters or any kind of pamphlets without prior permission from the varsity’s election committee shall be prohibited during the election campaign for the upcoming students union polls, as per a notice issued by the university, news agency PTI reported.
With the upcoming JNUSU elections in light, the JNU students union election committee has issued a partial code of conduct underlying the rules to be followed by different student bodies participating in the elections, during the election campaigning. “The EC is releasing a partial code of conduct for the smooth functioning of the election process.
We appeal to the student community to cooperate with the EC so that the elections are held peacefully and in a disciplined manner,” the notice issued on Friday in this regard was reported as saying.
