Assistant Public Prosecutor Officer (APO) is recruited through the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and State Public Service Commission. This means that Assistant Public Prosecutors are recruited at both the central and state levels.

On becoming an Assistant Public Prosecutor through the Union Public Service Commission, one gets a salary of Rs 47,600 to Rs 151,100 per pay scale. Whereas on becoming an Assistant Public Prosecutor through the State Public Service Commission, the salary may vary in different states.
Qualification for the post of Assistant Public Prosecution Officer
To become an Assistant Public Prosecution Officer, one must have a law degree. Also, basic knowledge of computers and internet is necessary. Talking about the age limit, it is 21 to 40 years. Three to five years of experience is also required for this post.
