Jr NTR Pays Tribute To Grandfather Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao with a Kind Gesture on 101st Birth Anniversary- Watch

Hyderabad: On Tuesday morning, Jr NTR, a celebrated actor, paid a visit to the NTR ghat to commemorate the 101st birth anniversary of his grandfather, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, fondly known as NTR. It’s poignant to note that his grandfather, NTR, was also an esteemed former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. Read on.

Jr NTR and Kalyanram were seen humbly seated on the ground at the memorial site. Accompanying them was NTR’s son – the well-known actor and politician, Nandamuri Balakrishna. He came with a sole purpose, to honour the memory of his late father.

NT Rama Rao Legacy
Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, popularly known as NTR, was an extraordinary man who wore many hats. He was not only a remarkable actor, but also a successful producer, adept director, skilled editor, and influential politician. This multifaceted individual served as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for seven commendable years. Acknowledging his significant contribution in films such as Thodu Dongalu (1954), Seetharama Kalyanam (1960), and Varakatnam (1970), he was bestowed with three well-deserved National Film Awards. In addition, his exceptional acting skills in movies including Raju Peda (1954) and Lava Kusa (1963) earned him the prestigious Rashtrapati Awards.

In a report from news outlet PTI, it was highlighted that not just former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, but also TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu amongst others, paid their respects to NTR. NTR’s own daughter, D Purandeswari, visited his final resting place at NTR Ghat, where she too honoured the TDP founder. Naidu gave high praise to NTR, referring to him as the epitome of the self-esteem of the Telugu people. Naidu applauded him for his accomplishments as an actor, known for his mythological character portrayals, and his influential role in the political realm. Emphasising NTR’s stance as an opponent to dictatorial politics, Naidu made this statement on X, which was previously known as Twitter.
Jr NTR’s Professional Front
Junior NTR has some exciting ventures lined up. Among them is the movie ‘Devara’ where he is going to illuminate the big screen alongside Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor. Also, he’s been slated for a major role in ‘War 2’, under the brilliant direction of Ayan Mukerji. Interesting times ahead!
