Kamakhya Corridor To Upgrading Nehru Stadium: PM Modi’s ‘Tight Schedule’ On Odisha-Assam Trip
PM Modi Odisha-Assam Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Odisha on Saturday afternoon and will lay the foundation stone of multiple infrastructure projects worth Rs 68,000 crore.
Later in the day, PM Modi will begin his two-day trip to Assam, during which he will meet the BJP’s state core committee and roll out developmental projects worth nearly Rs 11,600 crore.
PM Modi Odisha Visit: What Is On Agenda
– The prime minister is scheduled to reach the Jharsuguda airport around 1:00 PM today and will head to the IIM-Sambalpur campus where Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Governor Raghubar Das and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will join him.
– According to officials, PM Modi will unveil projects worth Rs 68,400 crore in the state, including the new campus of IIM-Sambalpur.
– Along with the Rs 400-crore campus, PM Modi will also unveil infrastructure projects worth Rs 68,000 crore.
– These projects span sectors such as power, roads and railways. Prime Minister will address a public meeting at Remed Ground around 3:00 PM, before leaving for Guwahati, officials said.
PM Modi Assam Visit: What Is On Agenda
– PM Modi is scheduled to land at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati at 7:30 PM.
– Modi will address a public meeting at 11:30 AM on Sunday at the Veterinary College Playground in Khanapara, from where many state and central projects will be unveiled.
– The foundation stones for several major projects will be laid. The projects include the Rs 498 crore Kamakhya temple corridor, the Rs 358 crore six-lane road from the new airport terminal in Guwahati, the Rs 831 crore FIFA-standard upgrade of Nehru Stadium, and the Rs 300 crore new sports complex in Chandrapur.
– The second edition of Asom Mala roads will also be kick-started by the PM. This phase will comprise 43 new roads and 38 concrete bridges, entailing a total investment of Rs 3,444 crore.
– In addition, PM Modi will lay the cornerstone for the Rs 3,250 crore integrated new Gauhati Medical College and Hospital complex.
– He will also lay the foundation stones for the proposed Karimganj Medical College and Hospital, which will be constructed for Rs 578 crore and the Rs 297-crore Unity Mall in Guwahati.
-The prime minister also scheduled to inaugurate the newly constructed four-lane road from Biswanath Chariali to Gohpur, developed for Rs 1,451 crore, and another four-lane road from Dolabari to Jamuguri, constructed at Rs 592 crore.
