Kane Williamson, wife Sarah Raheem become parents to baby girl, their third child

New Zealand star Kane Williamson and his wife Sarah have welcomed their third child, a baby girl. The couple has two more children: a one-year-old son and a three-year-old daughter.

Williamson posted an Instagram photo with his wife and daughter captioned: “And then there was 3 🙏 Welcome to the world beautiful Girl. So grateful for your safe arrival and the exciting journey ahead.”

Williamson missed New Zealand’s recent home T20I series against Australia due to paternity leave, but he was in good form during the recent two-Test series against South Africa, guiding the Black Caps to their first-ever Test series victory against the Proteas.

During that tour, Williamson scored his 30th, 31st, and 32nd Test hundreds, putting him 11th all-time in Test centuries and one shy of tying England’s Alastair Cook for tenth place.

Before Williamson’s prolific Test career, Martin Crowe held the record for the most centuries at that level by a New Zealander, with 17 in 77 matches. Williamson, who has played 98 Tests, has the potential to double that number by the end of his career.

After missing the T20 series, which Australia won 3-0, Williamson was picked in the New Zealand squad for the two-match Test series between the two countries.

Kane Williamson will soon be in India as the New Zealand star will be part of Gujarat Titans in IPL 2024. Williamson’s stint with the former champions was cut-short due to a knee injury in 2023 as he picked up the blow as early as the first match of the season. Williamson’s availability will be a huge boost to Gujarat as his leadership experience will come in handy to Shubman Gill, who will lead the side after the historic trade of Hardik Pandya to Mumbai Indians.

Notably, the news of the birth of Kane Williamson’s second baby girl comes days after Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli became parents to baby boy, Akaay.
