Karnataka Teen Stabs Man After Being ‘Scolded’ For Bicycle Stunts, Rash Driving, Detained: Police

In a terrible incident, a 23-year-old man was brutally stabbed by a juvenile and his three friends after he allegedly scolded him for performing stunts on a bicycle and indulging in rash riding in Shikaripura town of Karnataka, police said on Wednesday.

The victim, identified as Susheel, works as a computer operator in a college and sustained stab wounds to his chest and stomach. However, his condition is stable, according to authorities, reported PTI

As per the police, the incident happened when Susheel, while walking his pet dog on Tuesday evening, encountered a 16-year-old boy performing wheelies and riding recklessly on his bicycle. Susheel confronted the boy, leading to a heated argument. However, the situation took a dire turn when the teenager returned to Susheel’s house accompanied by three friends and assaulted him with a knife before fleeing the scene.

Susheel was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. He’s out of danger, a senior police officer said, as per the PTI report.

“The preliminary enquiry has revealed that the accused was riding in a rash manner. The victim questioned about the rash riding which led to the incident. Further investigation is going on,” police said.

“We have secured three accused including the juvenile. Further investigation is going on”, he added.

Police further revealed that teams have been formed to nab the fourth accused in the case. He further stated that the victim and the accused did not know each other, reported PTI.

Shikaripura MLA and state BJP President B Y Vijayendra expressed dismay over the incident, claiming the incident is the result of the failure of the incumbent Congress-led government to uphold law and order. “Whether it is the incident in Belagavi district or Haveri or Mangaluru or yesterday in Shikaripura, it seems as though anyone can do anything.
