Kylian Mbappe Signs For Real Madrid From Paris Saint Germain On Five-Year Deal
New Delhi: Real Madrid officially announced the signing of Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint Germain on Monday. The French World Cup winner has signed for five years, which will keep him at Real Madrid until 2029. However, details of the contract are yet to be disclosed. The Spanish club have been chasing Mbappe since his Monaco days but PSG came in between. However, the signing of Mbappe will make Real Madrid’s attacking force stronger alongside Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham.
“Real Madrid C. F. and @K.Mbappe have reached an agreement whereby he will be a Real Madrid player for the next five seasons,” the La Liga giants said in a statement. Mbappe played for PSG for seven long years and created several memories at the French club.
“A dream come true.Very happy and proud to be part of my dream club @realmadrid. It is impossible to explain how happy and excited I feel right now. I can’t wait to see you, Madridistas, and thank you for your incredible support. Nobody can understand how excited I am right now. He was PSG’s top-scorer with 44 goals in the last season and also topped the Ligue 1 charts for the sixth consecutive edition with 27 goals. The 25-year-old is also the PSG’s all-time top-scorer with 256 goals. At PSG, Mbappe the French League, Cup and Super Cup in the last season. In seven years at the French club, Mbappe has won 17 titles — 6 Leagues, 4 French Cups, 5 French Super Cups and 2 League Cups.
Before reaching PSG, Mbappe excelled at Monaco, having joined them in 2013. He made his Champions League debut at the age of 17 against Bayer Leverkusen. Mbappe’s first Champions League goal came in 2017 against Manchester City and in that edition he scored six goals.

At the international level, Mbappe was a part of the France team that won the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Four years later, Mbappe won the Golden Boot with eight goals and, after his hat-trick in the final, he became the top scorer in history in the World Cup finals (4).
Just two days ago, Madrid won a record-extending 15th European Cup title when it beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the Champions League final in London. In 2021, Madrid was rejected after offering PSG a bid of 180 million euros — the same amount PSG paid Monaco for a teenage Mbappe years earlier.
