Madgaon Express box office collection day 2: Kunal Kemmu’s directorial debut witnesses strong growth.

Bollywood actor Kunal Kemmu’s directorial debut Madgaon Express exhibited strong growth on its second day of release, amassing Rs 2.75 crore on Saturday.

This brings the film’s nett domestic collection to Rs 4.25 crore.

On Saturday, Madgaon Express recorded an overall 17.95% Hindi Occupancy, with night shows achieving a maximum occupancy of 26.62 per cent. The film boasted the maximum number of shows in NCR, totaling 510, with an occupancy rate of 11.50 per cent.

In Mumbai, with 440 shows, the film garnered a higher occupancy rate of 25.50 per cent. Commencing its box office journey with Rs 1.5 crore on Friday, the film experienced a remarkable 83 per cent growth on Saturday, with expectations of further increase on Sunday and Monday, bolstered by the Holi festival.

Additionally, the film will benefit from the #Buy1Get1 offer on Sunday and Monday, presenting a crucial test of its audience appeal.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh commented on this, stating, “#MadgaonExpress catches speed, biz jumps on Day 2 [+66.87%]… #Mumbai continues to dominate and drive its biz… Sure, the #Buy1Get1 ticket offer did attract moviegoers on Day 1 and 2, but the good news is that it is being appreciated by its target audience… Fri 1.63 cr, Sat 2.72 cr. Total: ₹ 4.35 cr. #India biz. #Boxoffice.”

He added, “The real test for #MadgaonExpress begins today… There’s no #Buy1Get1 offer today [Sun] and tomorrow [Mon; #Holi], so it will be interesting to see the quantum of growth on these two days.”
