Mahindra’s domestic SUV volume rises 40% in February 2024
Homegrown auto major Mahindra & Mahindra today announced a rise of 40% year-on-year (y-o-y) in domestic SUV volume at 42,401 units in February 2024. The company sold 30,221 units of SUVs in the same month last year.
Mahindra’s SUV portfolio includes the Scorpio-N, Scorpio Classic, Thar, XUV700, XUV300, Bolero and Bolero Neo.
In FY24 (April-February), the company’s wholesale despatches of SUVs has increased 31% y-o-y at 419,233 units. In the year-ago period, 320,985 units were sold.
With Mahindra aiming to close FY24 with a capacity of 49,000 units per month for SUVs, the wholesale despatches are expected to grow in FY25. The company ended FY23 with a monthly SUV capacity of 39,000 units.
