Man Hacks Brother To Death With Axe Over Turning Off Music In MP’s Satna
A man in Madhya Pradesh’s Satna district allegedly murdered his brother with an axe after he “turned off the music” at a family function, news agency PTI reported citing police on Sunday.
Rajkumar Kol (30), the accused, was arrested for the killing that took place at Mauhar village under Kothi police station limits on Friday night, as per the PTI report.
Rakesh (35), Rajkumar’s brother, had organised a function at his residence where music was playing on a sound system, said Rupendra Rajput, in-charge of Kothi police station.
The conflict arose when the victim “turned off the music”, and the accused, wanting to continue dancing, initiated an argument. In a fit of anger, Rajkumar allegedly attacked Rakesh with an axe, resulting in his immediate death, the official stated, as reported by PTI.
After the incident, the accused fled but was later apprehended near a culvert where he was hiding.
Rajkumar was arrested, and the weapon used in the crime was confiscated.
