Mandi Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Result: Actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut seems over the moon as she is leading from the Mandi Lok Sabha seat in Himachal Pradesh. As early trends turn out to be in Kangana’s favour, the Tejas actor took her mother’s blessing and shared a bunch of pictures on her X (formerly known as Twitter) account. Kangana was fielded by the Bhartiya Janta Party from the Mandi seat where she is fighting against Congress’s Vikramaditya Singh.
In the photos shared by the actor, Kangana can be seen wearing a pink saree while her mother feeds her curd and sugar (Dahi Shakar). Curd and sugar are believed to bring good luck and prosperity on auspicious occasions. Sharing the photo, Kangana wrote, “Mother is the form of God, today my mother is feeding me curd and sugar,” she tweeted alongside the pictures, with a folded hand emoji.

Kangana made her political debut this year and now she is receiving a great response from the people. In a video posted by ANI, Kangana said that she will continue serving the people of her constituency. “Mandi has not taken kindly to the insults for daughters. As far as my departure to Mumbai is concerned, this (Himachal Pradesh) is my ‘janmabhoomi’ and I will continue to serve people here…So, I am not going anywhere. Perhaps, someone else will have to pack their bags and leave. I am not going anywhere,” Kangana said.

Currently, Kangana Ranaut is leading in the Mandi Lok Sabha seat in Himachal Pradesh in her electoral debut. According to ECI trends, she has a lead of 37,033 votes over Vikramaditya Singh of the Congress party. In 2014 and 2019, the Mandi Lok Sabha seat was won by the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Ram Swaroop Sharma, with vote shares of 49.97% and 68.75%, respectively.
