McDonalds Brings Back Shamrock Shake And Oreo Shamrock McFlurry

The wait for Shamrock season is over as McDonald’s announced the release of Shamrock Shake and Oreo Shamrock McFlurry early. These cult-favourite shakes have been a popular highlight on the McDonald’s menu since its first making.

For years the recipe has delighted millions of Americans while a new companion was introduced in 2020 which was also an instant hit.

This year, February 5th marked the day when Shamrock Shake and Oreo Shamrock McFlurry returned to the menus in McDonald’s all over the US. Returning earlier than expected, Shamrock Shake has made the Spring season even more festive. This year, the shakes appeared on the menu earlier than expected.

In 2023, the shakes showed up on the menu on February 20. These limited-edition holiday treats stay for a short time, so if you are in luck, you will get to savour these shakes before the stock runs out. The end date, however, is not announced yet. Still, you can expect to get it by the end of the month.

First announced in 1970, Shamrock Shakes have been a fan-favourite delight and since the recipe has only gotten better. The shake is made with soft vanilla ice cream blended with mint syrup and topped with a dollop of whipped cream.

This decadent shake originated from a stroke of innovation by Hal Rosen, a Connecticut McDonald’s franchisee, in the mid to late 1960s. Initially introduced at his Enfield location, its first release in the 1970s became a huge success.
