While many face disappointment, very few achieve success and are able to retain it further. Former actor Girish Kumar is one such example. He achieved sudden fame at 24, but surprisingly decided to leave Bollywood soon after and pursued a career in business.
Girish Kumar made his acting debut alongside Shruti Haasan in the 2013 film Ramaiya Vastavaiya. The film was produced by his father film producer Kumar Taurani, the owner of Tips Industries. Girish garnered massive praise for his performance and quicly became new ‘chocolatey boy’ with massive fan following, especially among girls. Although the film achieved moderate success at the box office, but it made Girish another rising star.

After his second film Loveshhuda, Girish decided to leave Bollywood. The move failed to make an impact at the box office. Following this, in 2018, he took on a role in Collateral Damage, a short film focusing on the concept of outdated village practice. The film gained recognition and screen at various film festivals.
After a brief appearance in 2018 film, Girish Kumar left acting. He currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Tips Industries, running Rs 4700 crore company. He is actively involved in film distribution and production and has contributed to projects such as Ponniyin Selvan series and Sriram Raghavan’s Merry Christmas.
In 2016, Girish Kumar secretly married his childhood sweetheart, Krsna. He kept his wedding under the wraps for years, fearing that marriage label could destroy his career and can affect his romantic hero image. He later openly expressed his love for Krna and declared his relationship to the entire world.
