Meet actress who debuted with Saif Ali Khan, no solo hit so far, her mother made debut with Aamir Khan, but daughter doesn’t consider herself..
From Manushi Chhillar to Kriti Sanon, Bollywood has witnessed the rise of several new faces over the years. These actresses have won the hearts of fans and created their own fandoms, leaving a lasting impact on audiences. Similarly, the actress we are discussing today comes from a family of actors. Her mother was a prominent name in the industry in the 90s. However, despite her background, this new-age actress does not consider herself a “nepo kid.” She is not Sara Ali Khan or Janhvi Kapoor but Alaya F.
Alaya, the daughter of 90s hit actress Pooja Bedi, began her career with the film Jawaani Jaaneman in 2020, where she shared the screen with Saif Ali Khan. Later, Alaya worked with various actors, including Kartik Aaryan in Freddy and Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in other projects.
Despite her efforts, this actress has unfortunately struggled to make a significant impact on audiences. With her background, including her mother and her maternal grandfather Kabir Bedi, fans had high expectations of her. However, Alaya considers herself a star kid with a difference. In one of her interviews, she said she does not fall into the category of “dumb” star kids. The actress also mentioned that her mother, Pooja Bedi, had quit acting even before she was born.
In an interview with The Indian Express, Alaya stated that she wants to build her own identity and does not see herself as a nepo kid.
Meanwhile, Alaya’s mother, Pooja Bedi, was a well-known actress of her time. Pooja started her career in 1991, and within 4-5 years, she quit the industry. However, during her short stint, she delivered hit films like Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Lootere, and others. Bedi notably shared the screen with Aamir Khan in Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar.
Coming back to Alaya, the actress is celebrating her 37th birthday today (28th November) with her close friends and mother in Goa. She was last seen in Ali Abbas Zafar’s action film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, where she starred alongside Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Manushi Chhillar.
