What does the report say
This report states that about 33.5 lakh class 10th students could not reach the next grade. While 5.5 lakh did not take the exam at all. 28 lakh students failed. This was the reason for the gross enrollment ratio at the higher secondary level.
Similarly, about 32.4 lakh students could not complete the class 12th exam. Talking further, 5.2 lakh did not take the exam and 27.2 lakh students failed.
More students on state boards failed

While the number of students who failed in the National Board was 6 percent, 16 percent of the students of the State Board have failed. This number is much higher than the students who failed in the National Board.
This was about class 10th. If we talk about class 12th, the failure percentage of National Board students in class 10th was 12 percent while the failure percentage of State Board candidates was 18 percent. In this way, more students of the State Board have failed in both classes.
What is the condition of which state?
If we talk about the State Board, then in class 10th, most of the children failed from MP Board and Bihar Board was at second place and UP Board at third place. Whereas if we talk about class 12th, most of the children failed in UP Board and then Madhya Pradesh Board was at the next place. If we talk about the total performance of the year 2023, then the performance of the students fell down as compared to the previous year i.e. year 2022.
