Most runs in PSL 2024 (Updated After Multan vs Peshawar Match): Top 10 Highest Run Scorers In Tournament As Of February 23
Most runs in PSL 2024: The ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League with some of the best T20 batters in business competing for the Hanif Mohammad Cap (Green Cap), given to the highest run-scorer in the tournament every year.
Among the front-runners for the Cap at the moment are Pakistan’s leading batters Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Reeza Hendricks etc. MyKhel brings to you the top 10 highest wicket-takers in PSL 2024 so far.
Islamabad United batter Agha Salman made strong start to his PSL 2024 with back-to-back half century (64* and 52) with his not out innings against Lahore Qalandars helped Islamabad win their opening match of the season. His half century against Multan Sultans, followed by 33-run knock against Quetta Gladiators came for a losing cause.
Holding the second spot just three runs behind, Multan Sultans batter Reeza Hendricks has scored two consecutive half centuries (79* and 58) helped the last year’s runners-up win their first two matches against Karachi Kings and Islamabad United respectively. His captain took over in the third match as Mohammad Rizwan slammed a match-winning 82 against two-time champions Lahore Qalandars.
The innings helped Rizwan join the Hanif Mohammad Cap race and is tied for fifth spot with Jason Roy. Both Hendricks and Rizwan will have an earliest chance to go top of the Most Runs scored list as they take on Peshawar Zalmi on Friday (February 23).
Zalmi’s captain Babar Azam will have the same shot as he is ahead of them at the moment in the individual battle. Babar Azam scored 68 and 72 in his two innings so far and his technical ability will be crucial on the slow surface of Multan Cricket Stadium.
