Motorola Edge 50 Fusion Design Leaks, Might Launch Alongside Motorola Edge 50 Pro

Motorola is all set to host a smartphone launch event on April 3 in India. The event will witness the unveiling of the flagship Motorola Edge 50 Pro.

However, the leaked renders of another device – the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion – suggest that it might join the Edge 50 Pro at the launch event. The leaks offer a glimpse of the phone’s design and potential specifications.

The leaked renders, courtesy of Android Headlines, showcase the Edge 50 Fusion in three distinct colours: Ballad Blue, Peacock Pink, and Tidal Teal. All three options appear to sport a textured back panel, with the blue variant possibly featuring a vegan leather finish for a more premium feel. The display boasts a hole-punch design for the front-facing camera, with minimal bezels on the sides.

The rear of the phone houses a dual-camera system positioned in the top left corner, accompanied by an LED flash. The volume and power buttons sit on the left spine.

Apart from the design, the leaks shed some light on the Edge 50 Fusion’s potential specifications and features. It is rumoured to sport a 6.7-inch curved pOLED display. Powering the device could be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, a mid-range processor expected to deliver balanced performance. The leaks suggest 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for the base variant.

The leaks claim that the Edge 50 Fusion will get a 50MP primary sensor on the back, likely paired with a 13MP secondary sensor. On the front, the phone might house a 32MP punch-hole camera for capturing selfies.

Under the hood, the Edge 50 Fusion is rumoured to pack a 5,000mAh battery that could support 68W fast charging. Durability is also a consideration, with the Edge 50 Fusion supposedly featuring an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

The leaks align with Motorola’s scheduled announcement of the Edge 50 Pro in India on April 3. This suggests a potential joint launch for both the Edge 50 Pro and the Edge 50 Fusion, possibly followed by a rollout in Europe and North America soon after. With official information still awaited, these leaks provide a glimpse of what Motorola’s upcoming mid-range smartphone might offer.
