About Amrit Bharat Express
The Amrit Bharat Express, which is classified as an LHB non-AC train, has a maximum permissible speed (MPS) of 130 km/h. However, the speed of the Amrit Bharat Trains is achievable only if the route sections meet the 130 km/h fitness criteria, which means that the trains would not be running with the MPS in normal day-to-day hours. Given that many Indian railway tracks currently do not meet the MPS standards, the Amrit Bharat train will mostly operate at a lower MPS, ranging from 100 to 110 km/h on various parts of the route.
Amrit Bharat Express: Facilities Available
The brand new Amrit Bharat Express train has two different classes of service on offer, each with distinct features. In contrast, AC coaches on the Amrit Bharat Express come with a variety of amenities, including air conditioning, on-board catering, automatic doors, and sealed gangways. Also, the Amrit Bharat Express has enhanced safety features, including CCTV cameras, smoke alarms, electrical fire safety systems, a centralised coach monitoring system, passenger voice communication, and disaster management lights.
