New Maserati GranCabrio Revealed: Will It Make It To India?
Maserati has unveiled the new GranCabrio convertible, following the release of the GranTurismo in 2023. The GranCabrio promises the same excitement as its sibling but with a convertible fabric roof.
Under the hood, the GranCabrio shares the same engine as the GranTurismo and MC20, the Nettuno 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine. In the top-spec Trofeo version, the V6 engine puts out 546bhp and comes with all-wheel drive as standard.
While specific acceleration and top speed details for the GranCabrio haven’t been revealed yet, the Maserati GranTurismo can go from 0 to 100km/h in 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 320km/h. These figures are expected to be slightly lower for the convertible version.
Maserati has not confirmed if the GranCabrio will get the same 490bhp V6 or 760bhp electrified powertrains as the offered for the GranTurismo. The Maserati GranCabrio’s fabric roof is available in 5 colour options, can be raised or lowered in just 14 seconds, even while driving at speeds of up to 50km/h.
In terms of design, the GranCabrio maintains the sporty design of its coupe counterpart, like the oval grille, three air vents on the front fenders, and slim vertical headlamps with LED daytime running lights.
Inside, equipped with dual-screen infotainment systems and HVAC controls, along with a classic analog clock and unchanged steering wheel and digital dials.
