Shah Rukh Khan has given several blockbusters at the box office. From Chennai Express to Jawan, his films have created massive records globally. Another SRK film that earned impressive at the box office was The Lion King released in 2019. Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aaryan lent their voices to the characters in the animated film.
When released in Hindi-dubbed version in India, the film did more business, than Spiderman: far from Home (2019) on its opening day. In film, Shah Rukh Khan gave voice to the character of Musafa, while Aaryan voiced his son, Simba. Shah Rukh Khan’s name undoubtedly boosted the film’s popularity.
Despite mix reviews, the film crossed Rs 150 crore mark at the India box office. The Lion King became the second highest Hollywood earner in India in 2019, leaving behind Avengers: Endgame, which grossed over Rs 400 crore.
Now, Shah Rukh is all set to release for the release of The Mustafa: The Lion. Produced by Walt Disney Pictures, the film is photorealistically animated, and both a prequel and sequel to the 2019 remake of the The Lion King. King Khan along with his sons Aryan Khan and AbRam, have lent their voices to Mufasa, Simba, and young Mufasa, respectively. The trailer has created quite an excitement among movie buffs with its captivating visuals and gripping storyline.

Moreover, the makers also dropped the trailer of the Telugu and Tamil version. Telugu version features Mahesh Babu as the voice of Mufasa. Interestingly, Tamil actor Arjun Das lends his voice to Mufasa in the Tamil version.
Following the blockbuster success of 2019’s The Lion King, Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King is all set to enthrall the audience and will be released in India on December 20 in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
Several trade analysts expect that the film could surpass the record of 2024’s blockbusters RRR, KGF and Bahubali. What do you guys think?
