Today, the admit card for another NEET PG exam is going to be released, on the other hand, a petition has been filed in the Supreme Court to postpone it. Along with this, it was demanded that it should be heard soon. In such a situation, the court gave the date of tomorrow i.e. 9 August. That is, the Supreme Court will hear the ‘urgent petition’ seeking postponement of the NEET PG exam on Friday, August 9.

Demand for an immediate hearing made

According to a report by Live Law, advocate Anas Tanvir had filed a petition before Chief Justice DY Chandrachud on Thursday morning demanding an urgent hearing. In response, the CJI said that the matter will be heard tomorrow. The petitioners said that many candidates appearing for the exam have been allotted such cities, where it is very inconvenient for them to reach.

The petitioners further said that due to the short notice, it has become extremely difficult for the candidates to arrange travel to the allotted cities. Meanwhile, apart from postponing the exam, the petitioners have also demanded that the normalization formula of 4 sets of question papers be made public before the candidates so that any possibility of arbitrariness in the process can be prevented.

When will the NEET PG exam be held?

It is worth noting that the NEET PG exam is to be conducted on August 11, 2024, in CBT (computer-based test) mode in two shifts. The paper will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions, each of which will be in English language only. 4 options will be given for the answer. Candidates will be given 3 hours 30 minutes for the exam. Let us tell you that earlier this exam was to be held on June 23, 2024, but it was postponed due to precautionary measures.
