OnePlus 12R Storage Type: OnePlus ‘Mistakenly Advertised’ UFS 4.0 Instead of UFS 3.1 For Flagship Killer, Confirms Company
OnePlus 12R, the flagship killer, promises a series of massive upgrades over the OnePlus 11R. The company has marketed almost a lot of features and hardware including the chipset, display and more.
In the latest update, the company has acknowledged that the OnePlus 12R smartphone gets UFS 3.1 storage and not the UFS 4.0 storage.
However, the company has highlighted that OnePlus 12R features such as speedier app launch and open app retention are still available. The company has also stated that the device has received TUV SUD certification for over 48 months of operation, indicating improved long-term performance regardless of storage format.
Kinder Liu, Chief Operating Officer and President of OnePlus, announced the adjustment. He posted in the community this week, highlighting the error that the corporation made during the launch as well as the incorrect UFS standard on the website.
This means that buying OnePlus 12R means getting their hands on the UFS 3.1 storage trim and not the UFS 4.0. However, the OnePlus 11 series also got the same UFS 3.1 and works pretty well. Additionally, the company has also offered a software boost with the newly introduced Trinity Engine. It helps in boosting the memory and storage performance.
Not only that, Liu also ensured that UFS 3.1 storage will not hamper the lifespan of the smartphone and is capable of working for 48 months or more with great ease. Those who have already pre-ordered or purchased the smartphone can connect to the company’s customer team and seek a solution that works to their benefit.
The OnePlus 12R gets two different variants including the 8GB + 128GB and 16GB + 256GB. The price of the smartphone starts at Rs 39,999 and the top-end model is priced at Rs 45,999. Customers can choose from two colour options including Cool Blue and Iron Gray.
