Orry speaks his mind: ‘I have no purpose, I’m just here falling and enjoying the fall’
If social media were a forest, then the past few months have seen Orry rage like a wildfire. Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, is everywhere these days,
But who exactly is Orry? What does he believe in and what gives purpose to the self-proclaimed ‘liver’? The Telegraph Online finds out in a candid chat with Orry, one of the most viral presences on Indian internet today.
How are you, Orry? You have often spoken about how no one asks you that question.
Orry: Happy, free, sad, confused and lonely, all at the same time. Scared, anxious, nervous and disappointed, but in the best way. But no one cares, like you said right now. I often ask how no one asks cause no one cares.
You have made ‘I’m a liver’ into a catchphrase. What are the things that make life worth living for you?
Orry: When you have a grudge against someone and are plotting revenge, but then karma intervenes and strikes them down. Those are the kind of moments that make life worth living.
What gives you a sense of purpose?
Orry: Good question. I have no purpose. I feel like I jumped off a building and am still falling. Whatever comes my way, I take it because I don’t have a choice. I’m plummeting towards the ground. I can gain nothing, I can lose nothing.
I have no purpose, I’m just here falling and enjoying the fall… It’s a lonely feeling falling off this skyscraper. I do feel lonely. But hey, until I hit the ground and crash, I won’t look at it as falling. I’ll think of it like I’m flying.
