Prasidh Krishna Praises Rahul Dravid’s Coaching Style
Last month, after getting injured in the Ranji Trophy while playing for Karnataka, fast bowler Prasidh Krishna is working hard to improve his performance and learn new skills for the future.
The Rajasthan Royals bowler spoke exclusively with My Khel about his test debut under coach Rahul Dravid: “It’s been great. Rahul Dravid is a legend of the game. He’s a very calm guy and he puts his points across really well, so I’ve enjoyed playing under him.”
Prasidh, currently in rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy, is dedicated to refining his skills to ensure better performance in the upcoming challenges. With the IPL and World Cup on the horizon, Prasidh is eagerly eyeing these two tournaments for his comeback.
“It’s gonna be exciting. For any athlete out there, it’s really exciting to go through to the IPL and the World Cup. It’s going to be challenging, and we are here to enjoy the challenge,” Prasidh Krishna said.
The T20 World Cup is set to begin on June 1, and it will be co-hosted by West Indies and the United States. If Shami and Krishna regain full fitness before the World Cup, India will possess a formidable pace battery, including talents such as Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Mohammed Shami, and Prasidh Krishna.
When asked which areas he would focus on, considering his natural speed and ability to generate unsettling bounce off the track, he responded: “Pace is one of those things I will be working on. With confidence and rhythm, all of those (pace) things increase. But then what we need is to bowl in a particular way consistently and stick to the tactics of the team. That’s more important.”
