This time a total of 96.47 boys have passed the Punjab Board Matriculation Examination. Whereas Amritsar district has recorded the highest result of 99.24%. Whereas the lowest result of 94.51% has been recorded in Fatehgarh Sahib district. Last time, a total of 97.54 percent of students passed the Punjab Board 10th examination. Girls had performed better than boys. A total of 98.46 girls passed class 10th. Whereas the pass percentage of boys was less than that of girls at 96.73 percent.

Aditi from Ludhiana has topped the entire state in the Punjab Board 10th examination with 100 percent marks. This year a total of 2,81,098 boys and girls appeared in the matriculation examination, out of which 2,73,348 passed.
Last year, girls had outperformed boys by securing a 98.46 percent pass percentage. Boys had achieved a 96.73 percent pass percentage. Whereas the total pass percentage in 2023 was two percent less than that of 2022. A total of 653 students had failed. Punjab Board’s 10th result was recorded at 97.54 percent in 2023, 97.94 percent in 2022, and 99.93 percent in 2021.
This time the pass percentage of urban areas was 96.60%. A total of 97586 students from urban areas appeared in the exam, out of which a total of 94270 passed. Whereas the pass percentage of rural areas has been recorded at 97.58%. A total of 183512 boys and girls from rural areas took the examination, out of which a total of 179078 passed.
