Rajasthan shocker: Man kills father after heated argument, buries body in courtyard
In a shocking crime reported from Rajasthan’s Dungarpur, a man allegedly killed his 60-year-old father and buried his body in the house courtyard.
According to the police the crime happened after an argument between the 2 men.
Father attacked with sharp weapon
The police have identified the accused as Chunni Lal, who allegedly killed his father, Rajeng Baranda on Wednesday. The man was attacked with a sharp weapon, said the police. He was hit on his head, they added.
The police said that the attack was so fierce that the man died on the spot. His son then buried the body in the courtyard of the house. Talking about the deceased’s family, police said that Baranda had four sons, Prakash, Dinesh, Pappu and Chunni Lal. While Chunni Lal used to stay with him, his other son Prakash stays with his mother (Baranda’s wife) in Ahmedabad. His 2 other sons live in Balwara village in Dungarpur itself, but Baranda used to stay in a separate house with Chunni Lal.
When they did not see their father for 2 days, Dinesh and Pappu called up their brother Prakash and told him about it. Prakash returned to the village, accompanied by his mother and asked Chunni Lal about their father.
Initially Chunni Lal made up stories and tried to mislead the family. He however finally confessed to killing his father on Friday. The family members then immediately approached the police.
Upon hearing the entire matter, the police exhumed the body from the courtyard. The body was sent to the mortuary at the district hospital. The accused was arrested immediately, said a senior police officer. The police have registered a murder case under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code against Chunni Lal and are now preparing for further legal action in the case.
