Recipe- Makhana khichdi is full of nutrients, make it by following this recipe!
Khichdi is a common dish prepared in every home. Whenever you feel like eating something light and simple, the first thing that comes to your mind is Khichdi. Today, we will share a recipe for Makhana Khichdi instead of the usual rice and dal khichdi. You can consume it also during Navratri. So let’s know about its recipe.
Material:
Makhana – 2 cups
Potato – 1
Green chilli – 2
Fresh coriander – 1 tablespoon
Black pepper powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Desi ghee – 1/2 teaspoon
Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon
Salt as per taste
Recipe:
-First of all, finely chopped potatoes, green chillies and fresh coriander.
– Take makhana and break them into small pieces.
– Heat half a spoon of desi ghee in a pressure cooker on high flame.
Once the ghee melts, reduce the flame to medium. Add finely chopped potatoes and green chillies and fry for a few minutes.
– Now put the broken makhana in the pressure cooker. Add black pepper powder and salt as per taste to it.
Then add half a cup of water, close the lid and cook till 4-5 whistles.
-Turn off the flame and wait for the pressure to release from the cooker.
-Once the pressure is released, open the lid and take out the Makhana Khichdi in a serving dish.
– Squeeze lemon juice over Khichdi and garnish with fresh coriander.
-Makhane khichdi can also be made in a pan instead of a pressure cooker.
