Renault Kwid EV To Be Revealed This Month? 230km Range, 26.8kWh Battery Pack & More
Dacia, closely linked with Renault, is gearing up to unveil the refreshed Spring EV on February 21. This compact electric hatchback shares its DNA with the Renault Kwid and is set to receive extensive updates that aim to enhance its appeal in the global markets.
The 2024 facelifted Dacia Spring EV is anticipated to draw design inspiration from the latest iteration of the Dacia Duster. Potential buyers can expect to see modernized front-end features, such as angular headlamps and a newly designed grille, alongside a tweaked rear profile.
Interior enhancements are also on the agenda, with Dacia planning a refreshed dashboard and steering wheel layout. The update is set to include a new touchscreen infotainment system, equipped with an improved user interface, enhancing the overall in-cabin experience.
Although specific details regarding the electric powertrain’s upgrades remain under wraps, the brand hints at better battery technology and motor enhancements, potentially leading to increased range and performance.
Currently, the Dacia Spring EV is powered by a 26.8kWh battery pack, capable of covering 230km on a full charge. It houses a single electric motor that delivers 43bhp and 125Nm of torque. The existing model supports fast charging, allowing the battery to reach 80% capacity in under an hour with a 30kW charger.
Originally introduced as the Renault K-ZEV concept at the 2020 Auto Expo, the Dacia Spring EV’s transformation from concept to production signifies Renault’s commitment to the electrification of its models.
