Share Market News: Shares of Vikas Lifecare hit an upper circuity as benchmark equity indices Sensex and Nifty soared to new lifetime highs on Thursday. The stock opened in the green at Rs 5 against the previous close of Rs 4.97. The counter went on to hit the day’s upper price band or upper circuit at Rs 5.46, up 10 per cent.
The surge comes as the company has informed through an exchange filing that the board has approved the conversion of 3.45 crore warrants into equity number of shares upon receipt of balance amount aggregating to Rs 10.30 crore. The allottee is promoter Vikas Garg.
“We wish to inform you that the Board of Directors of the Company in their meeting held today i.e. Wednesday, June 19, 2024, considered and approved the allotment of equity shares on conversion of 3,45,00,000 warrants into 3,45,00,000 equity shares of face value of Re. 1/- each at an issue price of Rs. 4/- each (including a premium of Rs. 3/- each), to “Promoters” on preferential basis,” the company said in an exchange filing.
Rallying for the sixth straight session, the 30-share BSE Sensex climbed 141.34 points or 0.18 per cent to settle at a new closing peak of 77,478.93. During the day, it surged 305.5 points or 0.39 per cent to 77,643.09.
As many as 2,282 stocks advanced while 1,571 declined and 128 remained unchanged on the BSE.
The BSE benchmark has jumped 1,022.34 points or 1.33 per cent in the last six days.
The NSE Nifty rose 51 points or 0.22 per cent to settle at its fresh closing high of 23,567. Intra-day, it soared 108 points or 0.45 per cent to 23,624.
