Shocking: Delhi man killed after argument over Rs 1,500, accused held

In a shocking incident, a 35-year-old man was allegedly killed after an argument with another person over Rs 1,500 in the national capital’s Vasant Vihar area.

Both were allegedly drunk at the time of the incident. The police have arrested the accused.

According to the police, it received a call regarding the incident at around 6 am on Tuesday after which it reached the spot. After reaching the crime scene it found the body of a man lying in a pool of blood. His throat was found slit, a report by ‘The Times of India’ said.

The victim’s throat was slit by a sharp object

Sharing details of the incident, the police said that the victim Ashwani Kumar’s throat was probably slit with a sharp object. During the initial probe, the forensic team also found broken glass pieces, suggesting that both accused had the victim might have consumed liquor before the murder took place.

After registering the incident, police also examined the footage from the CCTV camera in the area. During the probe, the police zeroed in on one Sanjay, who informed the police that both he and the victim had consumed alcohol when the argument started between the two. In his anger, the accused broke the liquor and used the broken glass to slit the throat of Kumar. After this, the accused hid the mobile phone of the victim and ran away from the spot.

Recently, a 26-year-old was allegedly killed, after which his body was disposed of in a lake in the national capital. The victim was identified as Lakshay Chauhan. His father is an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in Delhi Police.
