Known as exogenous ochronosis, the condition has been affecting 55-year-old woman for a year before she consulted at a Vadodara hospital.

The lady had been applying the skin-lightening cream containing skin-bleaching agent hydroquinone to deal with hyperpigmentation on her cheeks. However, now, the same has gone brown-blue and this case study appeared in a case report in the New England Journal of Medicine.
