Skoda Kodiaq Price Dropped By Rs 2 lakh For Top-Spec Variant; Details Inside
Skoda India has brought changes in its variant lineup for the seven-seater Kodiaq SUV. Previously, the Skoda Kodiaq was available in three trims – Style, Sportline, and Lauren & Klement (L&K).
However, now Skoda Kodiaq will now be exclusively offered in the top-spec L&K variant.
Skoda Kodiaq Price Cut
In addition to this, Skoda India has also revised the prices of the Kodiaq L&K variant. The Skoda Kodiaq L&K variant was previously priced at Rs 41.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It has now received a significant price reduction of Rs 2 lakh and will now be available at a price of Rs 39.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV remains unchanged besides the pricing adjustment and variant consolidation.
Skoda Kodiaq – Powertrain & Rivals
Skoda Kodiaq is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine that is capable of producing a power output of 190 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. Skoda Kodiaq is the Czech automaker’s flagship offering in the country. It competes with rivals such as the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, Hyundai Tucson, and MG Gloster in the premium SUV segment.
New Skoda Compact SUV
In addition to the Kodiaq SUV, Skoda currently retails the Kushaq SUV and Slavia sedan in the country. Moreover, Skoda is gearing up to enter the competitive sub-4-metre SUV segment. Post its launch, the Skoda sub-4-metre SUV will compete with contenders like the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Tata Nexon.
Skoda’s upcoming compact SUV has recently been spotted during testing and is anticipated to feature a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine that will generate a power output of 115 bhp. It is likely that it will be built on the MQB-A0-IN platform sharing it with the Kushaq. It is expected that this compact SUV model is likely to be launched in India in March 2025. It is expected to be priced between Rs 9 and Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom). Additionally, Skoda plans to export the entry-level SUV to markets across South America, South-East Asia, and Africa.
