Smriti Khanna and Gautam Gupta Blessed with Second Daughter: ‘Our Family Is Complete Now’
Smriti Khanna and Gautam Gupta, who became household names with their TV show Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi, have become parents once again. The couple announced on Friday that they have welcomed their second daughter. Back in April, the duo revealed to their fans that they were expecting their second child. Taking to Instagram, the couple shared a joint post featuring their elder daughter holding the newborn.
Sharing the adorable picture on Instagram, Smriti captioned it, “Anayka’s wish for a little sister, her gudiya, has come true, and our family is now complete.” Smriti also shared the date of her second daughter’s birth: ‘05.09.24.’

As soon as the photo went online, fans flooded the comment section with congratulatory messages. One wrote, “Congratulations to the beautiful couple,” while another said, “Oh my God, so happy for these two!!” Celebrities also extended their congratulations. Shilpa Shetty wrote, “Oh my God! Congratulations to you and the family!” while Dia Mirza commented, “Oh my goodness! Congratulations, my sweetheart! So much love to you and the family.”
Smriti and Gautam first met on the sets of Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi, where their onscreen romance blossomed into a real-life relationship. The couple tied the knot in 2017. In 2020, during the lockdown, they welcomed their first child, Anayka.
Back in April, when the couple announced that they were expecting their second child, they shared a beautiful note, which read, “After a journey filled with more challenges than we ever expected, we are overflowing with emotion as we make this beautiful announcement: Our family is growing! Our darling daughter Anayka is stepping up to the role of big sister, and our dog Lucas is about to become the best big brother.
