Sony PlayStation VR2 might also work with your PC soon and this could fix its biggest flaw

No gamer wouldn’t want to jump into their games’ worlds and get a first-hand taste of all the action that is happening. Perhaps this is why VRs are hyped amongst gamers, and they all wait to get their hands on these headsets.

And Sony delighted all PlayStation gamers last year with the launch of the PlayStation VR 2. From Horizon: Call of the Mountain to Pavlov and Resident Evil: Village, we all got to experience different worlds in perhaps the best way possible.

However, there was one little drawback. The PS VR 2 could work only with the PS5 and PC gamers couldn’t yet take advantage of the gorgeous headset. But that might change soon as Sony has officially confirmed that the PS VR 2 is being tested to be able to run with a PC as well. In addition to this, the Japanese tech giant aims to make this happen by the end of this year.

Sony testing PC support for PS VR 2

In a blog post, Sony wrote, “We’re pleased to share that we are currently testing the ability for PS VR2 players to access additional games on PC to offer even more game variety in addition to the PS VR2 titles available through PS5. We hope to make this support available in 2024, so stay tuned for more updates.”

If that indeed happens, one of the biggest flaws of the PS VR 2 (no PC support) could get resolved, which would mean that the headset will prove to be even more useful.

We, at India Today Tech, reviewed the PS VR 2 and it proved to be great at its job, with the small limitation of having only a few games supporting it.
